Case Study 1 - ARB

The Arabian Research Bureau (ARB) based in the Sultanate of Oman, had grown from a small start up business to a number of staff working from various locations. Document control was one real issue.

Data Train suggested an IT Strategy comprising several elements.

• Holding documents centrally using a cloud system
• Recommending online accounting software
• Developing a web-accessible contact database
• Developing a research tools database
• Security review and associated improvements
• A package of training and documentation

Systems were set up or developed from scratch by Data Train. Since all work was done remotely, we suggested a different approach to training.

In addition to step-by-step guides, training videos were prepared on key topics. These were tailored to ARB's requirements. Videos could be downloaded as required using the cloud system as a platform.
